The works at the basic infrastructure subtask are planned according to AMRES need for recommendations and common standards for laying new infrastructure and further developing existing campus infrastructure within AMRES.

#Šta želimo ostvariti i kako nameravamo početi

The decision to select the infrastructure area as the AMRES’ area of interest is directly motivated due to the fact that recently there have been 20 connected towns which have had member institutions with poorly developed networks. Our main goal in this subtask will be to produce documents which should help the AMRES institutions to deploy network infrastructure in a well defined way.

We hope the goal could be achieved in the best possible way by combining our own experience within AMRES with the experience of other NRENs. According to that we expect to benefit from the best practices UNINETT provides in the area of physical infrastructure, i.e. cabling, cooling, power, etc.
